Look out Rincon – the Corona Extra Pro Surf Circuit returns. Now, we heard some rumors that the last time they had this event in Rincon it was a huge success…. but… not without some major issues for the neighborhood. Over 4,000 people flooded the tiny Puntas neighborhood (where we live now) to party after the event and a severa lack of security, trash and restrooms wrecked havoc on the neighborhood. I know that a group of local business owners – the “Puntas Action Committee” has been petitioning the municipality of Rincon and the Corona surf contest to have a better handle on all of these issues for the ’09 contest. Did it work? We shall see…
